We deal with many issues that teenagers may have. The Life Store can offer C-Card services to 13 - 25 year olds living in the Middlesbrough area. This service offers free condoms and sexual health advice. We can also offer Chlamydia testing kits, advice on the morning after pill and any other concerns you have. We are here to help and advise. The Life Store can signpost you to Mesmac North East, a gay, lesbian and bi-sexual support service who can offer a one to one counselling service. This service is free and confidential.

If you are over 16 we can also signpost you to our Community Weight Management service. Together we'll help you lose weight, and it's free. We have two programmes available. Shape Up is a friendly group support self help programme that helps you manage your weight. L.E.A.N. is a convenient drop-in service that will support you to achieve realistic goals in order to make lifestyle changes

If you are between 7 - 13 why not try our Mend Programme? This is 20 fun free 2 hour sessions over ten weeks for children who are above their ideal weight and their parents. Learn about food and discover fun ways to get fit!

If have you have any queries about the cervical cancer vaccination (HPV) please call into the store and pick up a leaflet. This is a free service offered by the NHS.

Free sexual health tests at Life Store

NHS Tees is urging anyone who thinks they may have put their sexual health at risk to drop into the Life Store on Thursday 26 August.The NHS Tees sexual health team will be offering free chlamydia screening to 15 to 24-year-olds at the health advice store in The Mall, Middlesbrough from 1pm to 4pm.

Teesside Positive Action will also be in the Life Store throughout the afternoon providing free HIV tests.
