If you care for someone, are cared for or know anyone who is a carer then feel free to call in during the week to speak with a carer co-ordinator for help and advice. Available Monday – Friday, 09.00 – 17.00.

Stop Smoking Service
If you live in the Middlesbrough or Redcar and Cleveland area and wish to quit, call into the Life Store on one of the following days:
Tuesdays 09.00-16.00
Thursdays 09.00 -16.00
Saturday 10.00 – 14.00
No appointment is necessary, this is a drop-in clinic.

Audiology Service
If you have an NHS Hearing Aid which requires repairing pop into the Life Store on one of the following days:
Monday 09.30-12.00

Baby Hearing Service
To make an appointment to have your baby’s newborn hearing screening done on a Wednesday please call the Baby Hearing Clinic at James Cook University Hospital on 01642 282710.

BMI
Call into the Life Store anytime during opening hours for a free Body Mass Index check, whether you are trying to lose or gain weight, or just want to see how you’re doing!
You can also have your blood pressure checked (if criteria is met).

Sexual Health Advice
If you are aged between 13 and 25 and require any help or advice surrounding sexual health then our advisors are available to answer any questions and to offer help. Call in any time.

C-Card
We also offer C-Card service if you are aged between 13 and 25 and live in the Middlesbrough area. By registering for this service you can receive advice and free condoms. No appointment necessary, available Monday – Saturday.

Walking Group
Why not join the Life Store staff and get active at lunchtime? Bring some comfortable shoes for a stroll around Middlesbrough.
Walks leave Life Store every Tuesday at 12.30pm and last approximately 45 minutes.

Patient Advice Liaison Service (P.A.L.S)
You can use the service to compliment, comment or complain about your NHS services. P.A.L.S will provide confidential advice and support to patients, their families and carers, provide information on NHS services and health related matters, listen to your concerns, suggestions and queries. They will help sort out problems quickly on your behalf, provide information on how you can get more involved in your own health care and the NHS locally. They manage complaints about NHS services. The team is there to help you when you need advice, have concerns or don’t know where to turn. They will guide you through the different services available from the NHS.
